“I grew up in real estate,” reflects Andrew Alvarez, Broker Associate with Douglas Elliman. “My family owned rental and investment property from Key Largo to West Palm Beach and I was always proud we were helping others find a place to call home.
Many of our tenants were like members of the extended family and it was so exciting when they became homeowners.”
Andrew's passion and expertise for pairing people and property evolved during 13 years with Miromar Development, first in the IT and marketing department, then as a sales associate specializing in luxury new-construction and existing home sales at Miromar Lakes Beach and Golf Club, named the No. 1 community in the country by the National Association of Home Builders.
“Marketing and selling Miromar Lakes was an incredibly immersive and insightful experience,” he explains. “I gained an understanding of the many different points of view involved in planning and designing an upscale community, its amenities, homes, and lifestyle from the unique perspectives of the buyer, the seller, and the developer as well as builders and the marketing team. I learned what works and what doesn't and how to position a community and an individual property to stand out from the competition.”
Andrew's forte at Douglas Elliman focuses on new and resale properties from $2 million in an area he knows well – Fort Myers Beach south to North Naples. Andrew, a real estate professional and Broker Associate, is eager to share his knowledge and love of the area he's called home since 2008, introducing buyers to the real estate opportunities and lifestyles of the region's many gated neighborhoods (as well as favorite restaurants and kayak launch sites only locals know).
With a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems, Andrew's data- and customer-driven emphasis helps buyers and sellers make informed decisions. “Customers are relying on me to provide the tools they need to make the best choices for their situation,” he says. “I provide information identifying market trends, values, and positioning. Most importantly, I look at the big picture on a more personal level built on instilling trust and life-long customers and friendships.”
Originally from West Palm Beach, Andrew relocated to Southwest Florida to attend Florida Gulf Coast University, where he met his future wife, Erin, and landed an internship with Miromar Development. During his tenure at Miromar Lakes, Andrew earned top awards for his sales performance. He is a member of the Naples Board of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
